Welcome to the Hairdressing & Cosmetology Bargaining Council (KwaZulu-Natal)
A bargaining council can only exist through the participation of representatives from the workers in the industry and from the employers - or in our case the salon owners in the hairdressing industry. The workers are represented by a TRADE UNION, and the employers are represented by an EMPLOYERS ORGANISATION. When these two associations get together and establish a bargaining council, they are known as the PARTIES to the bargaining council.
The PARTIES to the Hairdressing Bargaining Council in KwaZulu-Natal are UASA (the Union)* on the one hand and EOHCB* (the employers) on the other. The objectives of the Labour Relations Act include amongst other things the promotion of collective bargaining in a sector, the conclusion and enforcement of collective agreements, the prevention and resolution of disputes with a view to achieving peace and stability in the industry.
We welcome you to the web-page of the HAIRDRESSING & COSMETOLOGY BARGAINING COUNCIL (KWAZULU-NATAL), and we look forward to being able to be of service to you, and to a long and mutually beneficial relationship in the future. Please use the contact details to drop us a line with your concerns, your thoughts and – yes – even your whinges…!
